Matching Family Swim: 'The Look of Love'

Introducing our new Matching Family Swim collection in our Palm Silhouette Navy print - available in Womens, Mens, Boys and Girls styles. We were joined by the beautiful Kristy, Locky, Aria and Avery at our recent UNE PIECE Campaign Shoot. In a very special turn of events, Kristy and Locky joined us on our shoot the day before their elopement. See the photos from the shoot (and a sneak peek of their elopement) as well as getting to know a little bit more about the family, below.

“SURROUND YOURSELVES WITH PEOPLE YOU LOVE AND WHO LOVE YOU IN RETURN”

What is your favourite way to spend time together as a family?
Locky: My favourite time with the family is being with them somewhere in nature. Bushwalks in the rainforest or exploring at the beach.
Kristy: On holidays by the beach.

How has becoming a parent changed you for the better?
L: I've become much more patient and I feel like I have a much better grasp on what is important and what isn't so important.
K: It's taught me to prioritise the things (and people) in life that are aligned with my values, and to not expend energy on the things that aren't. Becoming a parent has also made me realise that I can't do it all, and that's OK.

 

What is the one piece of advice that you would pass onto your children to live a happy and healthy life?
L: Depends on their age. Currently: if you don't know what a button does, maybe don't press it. Longer term: it's always so important to try and see past the façade and find the lovable person behind it. And really understand that love is more than just feelings, it's a verb and effort is required.
K: Get lots of fresh air, sunshine and movement, don't stress too much, and surround yourselves with people you love and who love you in return.

What was your favourite part of the UNE PIECE Campaign Shoot?
L: All of it. I had no idea what to expect which made the whole thing very exciting, but being by the beach on a perfect day with all of us together was thoroughly enjoyable. Also, finding out my 4yo had model posing skills was hilarious. No idea where he learnt them. Didn't come from me.
K: Experiencing something completely new and out of my comfort zone, but ending up having so much fun in the process. I also loved spending time with the beautiful Une Piece team.

What do you love most about your parent(s)?
Avery: I love lots and lots of cuddles from them.
Aria: The kisses and cuddles they give me.

What is your favourite fun family activity to do together?
Avery: Go on adventures.
Aria: I love to go to restaurants with Mum and to the art gallery with Dad. I also love going for walks in the rainforest with all of us.

What was your favourite part of the UNE PIECE Campaign Shoot?
Avery: Swinging on the swing chairs and also my togs like Daddy.
Aria: Having fun on the balcony with Mum, Dad, Avery and the photographers. And I liked seeing Carly.
